13S Battery Pack and Battery Management System Design and Implementation for Electric Bicycles

In this study, the battery pack and ESP32 microcontroller-based management system (BMS) design for electric bicycle have been carried out. The software updates were realized when was in box, thanks to built-in Wi-Fi feature of ESP32. voltage values read precisely, a stable BMS created with 12-bit ADC-based controller. had temperature control from 7 different points. data received DS18B20 digital sensors, charging current cut off threshold value exceeded. At same time, ACS712 5A sensor used determine prevent excessive draw. defined as 2A. cuts protect exceeds 3A. resistor passive balancing isolated ESP module KPS2801 optocoupler. charged 3.7 V 3.85 real-time test. process continued one hour, changes each cell obtained 10-minute periods. It observed that all cells balanced way at end process. Thus, designed out successfully through BMS.
